If The Conglomerate can come back to the form which saw him win the Daily News last year, he would be a huge runner with only 53 kg's - even being out at the weights by 2.5 kg's should LE run.....
Another in the same sort of odds bracket as Punta Arenas, is Paterfamilias (I see entered to run over 1400 next Friday) - finished 2.3 lengths behind Legal Eagle in the Met (and in front of PA) receiving 1.5 kg's and on current ratings would receive 5 kg's in the July......so 3.5 kg's better off for a beating of 2.3 lengths.....

I think Tarry was alluding to an overseas campaign for Legal Eagle rather than a "weights" ,issue. These days it seems one has to start the export protocol before the July.

I didn't hear that interview ...............I was going on the Sporting Post interview where no suggestion of an overseas campaign was mentioned ,but the comment "The July would probably not be the ideal race for the horse,as he would have to carry 60Kgs"
I'm sure there will lots of mystery over the next 7 weeks but I think I'll take the price!

I'm waiting to see what It's my turn can do over a longer distance at Greyville before deciding but think that's an each way bet @ 40/1....
My first choice will be French Navy ....gutsy horse....but a wide open July.
