@ the good Doctor, Negroamaro, i feel this horse has had a very testing season so far, so for me, I am going to brass her.
Admittedly she has a fair draw, but i feel it is difficult to keep a horse at the top of it's game for a sustained period, this horse has been on the go from October 2015, a run a month at the top level for (approximately) 7 months. Whilst i think the connections and trainer deserve the accolades, it is what it is, and I'm prepared to be wrong.
If you Dutching Negroamaro, well and good, as far as an on the head punt goes, i don't believe it will happen tomorrow.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Bela-Bela - I always thought she was special, albeit 2nd best to SM but I remember BFH sitting on her and saying she's the best 3 yo around. That was big words and looks like it's not an exaggeration. She had a bad draw, first time round the right hand turn + her first run after 4 months and had a terrible passage down the straight but once she saw daylight, she flew through. I must give Nightingale credit for staying with her till the line, of a distance short of her best as we know. However I feel the winning margin flattered Nightingale a bit - she didn't have as much trouble in running as Bela-Bela, add to that it was her 2nd run after the rest plus she's seen the track before, and turning for home she was in front of Bela-Bela. For me Delpech didn't punish Bela-Bela and she won with something in hand - have a listen to his interview and he keeps repeating that this is a special one.
What also sways me in her favour is how lightly raced she is. This is only her 6th start, already won a GR 2 plus Grade 1 placed. She ran 3 lengths behind a champion filly on just her fourth start! I think she is some racehorse. One negative is maybe the distance which they aren't sure she'll get however I see no problems from her races plus she's bred to get it. Lot of others prefer Nightingale because she's improving - Nightingale has had 7 starts to Bela-Bela's 5. If Nightingale's improving, I assure you Bela-Bela is
Firmly in Bela-Bela's camp, got some 11/10 but I hope she drifts come race time.
Daily News - Have watched this replay a couple of times and Black Arthur's win never fails to amaze me. The amount of ground he made up, coupled with the circumstances is amazing but he's not here so I'll side with Rabada. He's a classy fella. I must agree with, I think Frodo, mentioned he kept on from the front even with the strong pace and it was a good pace. He had a wide draw and went straight to the front but I hope Marcus doesn't place him that handy. Azzie seems bullish that he'll stay and is expecting a big run. I think given the right ride, he'll have a great chance to pull this off. Rabada for me @ 7/2 - think he'll drift further too
He's not without competitors and all of New Predator(if staying), TGS, Rocketball, it's my turn can pose big threats. Also got a small e/w on Brooklyn Brawler @ 25/1 - Snaith and his 2nd strings :woohoo:

Race 6 - WOOLAVINGTON 2000
Bela Bela - 0.77
Nightingale - 2.5
FORTISSIMA - 12.5 / 1.87
With BELA BELA & NIGHTINGALE topping the board and deservedly, I just feel that the real value could be with FORTISSIMA.
Marcus in the saddle, Blinkers strike and a peak run over a more suitable trip...way to big a price and worthy of an E/W bet.
Ps. And the chance to see LW on the poduim...priceless

Do not follow where the path may lead.
Go to where there is no path.....
AND LEAVE A TRAIL

It will be a great day to be at the races today. There is a very good airshow on at the moment and then a 10 race card with us having 6 runners. I am pretty sure that Academy Princess and Chill will be eliminated. We start in the 3rd with the very close to winning last time out Destined for dawn. He has everything going for him in this race and will run very well. I think he just might be more at home over slightly shorter but am expecting a big run. He does love the poly. In the same race we have Indian bay having his first run and he is quite a naughty gelding and will be green. Also in the same race we have Kaykaynoknids( blame Charles Touzel for the name!)He is a big strong boy who we have given plenty of time to and I am pretty sure he will be green here. They will both will improve lengths from this run. In the 4th we have Threshold and you can put a line through the last run as the stirrup leather came away from the saddle and the appie could not ride him. He doesnt have a good draw but has an outside quartet chance. In the 9th we have Lets go west for Francois van Ghent. A lovely horse who ran a great race from his outside draw last time out and will run well again. A must in everything. In the last we have Buster Brown for Greg Bortz back over his favourite course and distance and is also a big runner here. A must in everything as well. Have a great days racing and enjoy the top horses running today.
