I am going to row in with Nightingale.

Last time she was beaten fair and square by Bela-Bela, but I was surprised by the losing margin, didn't think she'd get that close. Think it's fair to say she improved many lengths on her previous start against MR76 company. The Fillies Guineas was her second run after the rest and it was a cracking run. There is much debate as to what is or should be her correct rating, if we accept the official rating of 92, then based on her run behind Bela-Bela, she should be much higher, but that is as a result of the new handicapping/rating system.

She has won over the distance, so that shouldn't be an issue, third run after the rest and should be peak run. She clearly isn't that far off Bela-Bela, come Saturday, I think she will reverse the placing.

Just looking at Kannemeyers stats, how come he finds KZN so easy?

2014 30% win in KZN
2015 26% win in KZN

2014 9% win in WC
2015 8% win in WC

The only real competition the cape boys had was from Drier and Howells and with Shea and Cormack no longer riding , that is the end of that

Is DK based permanently in KZN now? Else wouldn't this also be attributable to him having majority of the above average sorts here versus a full string.

I am with you!
The more I watch that race the more I believe Nightingale will beat Bela-bela on the day!
I think the 7/2 was big value,relatively.
