but khumalo "rides crooked" as the tote regulars say pretty often. i always forgive him cos he closed my biggest win treble. but this... makes me wanna stick to uk racing exclusively.

Another reason to avoid the horses totally...the odds are stacked against the punter from a number of quarters...

The only way to stop this is to set an example and give him a very long ban, fines are pointless for this type of offense. If he gets off lightly then you wonder if the guys in charge actually take this seriously.

True...have not taken a horse-racing bet in a few months and the better for it !! Sticking to major sporting events that I get the chance to watch in the evenings and weekends...lots and lots of rugby today so going to plant myself in my recliner and vegetate !!

This type of laxity riding would be stamped out once and for all if more stringent penalties were imposed in the past.Strydom got off lightly for a similar offence,now Khumalo,Fortune not very far behind and soon the Appies will pick up that the seniors are getting away lightly and then ??????? No extenuating circumstances 6 months minimum.But then you have some of the trainers who get off " scotfree" for more serious transgressions . Call in the PP.
