Taking a chance with the double (R6) Argo Solo X (R7) Red Peril
The collateral form behind the debut win has worked out well. Argo Solo beat Ocean's Trip, who came out and won next time out. Ocean's Trip beat Power Grid who also came out and won next time out. On breeding, Argo Solo should stay the extra 200m, and possibly further. In short, he could be anything, so based on his debut run and the collateral formlines, I'll row in with him.
Red Peril is weighted to finish ahead of 4, possibly 5 runners in the race. In relation to the favourite, Captain Splendid, I am hoping that is too much weight to concede.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Cape racing is like the lotto but we still keep trying :silly:
Race 5: Dazzling Dancer has run to a lot better than most here and this doesn't look the strongest field ever imo at around 14/1 worth a small e/way
Race 1: New Caledonia yard has been quiet in cape so far hoping that changes today, favourite has looked really one paced imo

Race 1 -Imperial Dancer, drops in trip after a poor run over 1600m .Has shown enough pace to think he will cope with dropping to this trip, Well drawn and blinkers to sharpen

Look at Gimme Greens form and saw that Desert Wisdom beat him on the World Union form line.
2 runs only and should improve a little more.
I think the 12's is also a big price and 13/10 a place is a good gamble for me.
