What do you think of Thrusts chances in the Spring Spree?

Ok I'll bite B)

IF Kangaroo Jack comes to the track 80% ready I can't see him getting beat - he beat some of these very easily in the Post Merchants - also in the race was top sprinting mare Fly By Night who he beat by nearly 4 lengths. Thrust imo has never met that class of opposition and was beaten by Captain's Causeway and Amazing Strike (both easily held on form by KJ) and Thrust has gone up in the handicap since then; the only thing in Thrust's favor is the draw - yes he does come from an in-form stable and has an in-form jock - but so has KJ - also KJ has 2 wins from 2 tries over the course and distance, while Thrust arguably seems better down the straight.

So I do not fancy Thrust, I make Angel Power the biggest danger should KJ fluff his lines.

In general I do not like this card - too many horses that looks to be too classy. come back to the track after 'rests' - now who knows which of these had their AHS injections and which will come back 'needing the run' - I suggest a few 'surprises' will be popping up during the day.

At the weights, Henry Higgins looks a big runner in the 5th, while in the 8th, All Night Flight is overdue to win (but the draw is a slight worry) and I think Flowing Gown will take a lot of beating in the last.

Some time to go to change one's mind, but at the moment I'm taking a chance on the following PS:

1,4,5,6,8,10
1,2,4,5
F
1,10
1,4
1

R94 will give you 10%

Also make Kangaroo Jack the one to beat despite the 61.0kgs. Ticks all the right boxes over the distance as well as course and distance.

The another runner I fancy is Myfunnyvalentine in the 6th. Think they going to have to run some to beat her.

Whilst I hear what Frodo is saying regards the more fancied sorts returning from rests and possibly needing the runs, if Samurai Blade runs close to his rating, he will be hard to beat.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

My son has been singing about Hypothermic for about two weeks now and he reckon that the double is with the stable in the 3rd race. This blooming fella of mine knows nothing about racing BUT HE GOT THE INFORMATION. The race will tell but I have heeded his advice.

Hope he means Champions Cup in the 3rd RP as trainer has two runners. If so, I concur with the double and will join you.

R3 Champions Cup - weight turnarounds must give him a decent chance from an ok draw. Lisnoble may follow him home.
R4 Was with Miss Turbo lto. Perhaps had some excuses but I don't think that was a great field. She will probably be competitive but my preference is for Fish River Canyon who should enjoy the step up in distance and has been competitive in both sprints to date. There might be some value about Princess Violet and will do the exacta.
R5 Hypothermic - at the weights looks to have a big chance imo. In The Cruise might provide a decent exacta.
R6 My Funny Valentine - with the low weight I'll take her to hold off Crown Of Roses. Unfortunately she comes off a break and the stable seemingly don't usually choose to comment so will just have to hope she's ready
R7 Kangaroo Jack - see Frodo's comments :)
R8 All Night Flight - nearly always thereabouts. Yet to finish top 3 though in 4 c runs and draw a concern but nevertheless think he will win if GL can find a clear passage through.

Will do trebles n up on the 6 of them.

Be(s)t of luck to all
