Bloodstock agents play a relatively small role in SA purchasing compared to UK, with the trainers choosing the majority of horses purchased at sales here.

Not if you run overseas if we fix the quarantine (yawn yawn) SA horses are reasonably priced
If you also look at the comparison of winning a maiden plate it covers so many months training and look at same in UK and still better in SA

.....best ROI lot no 4.....R125K for a Judpot out of a stout damline.....even if she don't race will be a bright paddock prospect.....hope GP keeps a share.....

top price 6bar for a trippi colt coolmore,also bought a captain al filly for 1,9bar.Bernard Marais bought a captain al colt by ebony flyer for 4,5bar,Justin Casse bought a frankel filly for 4bar and a trippi filly for 2 bar.China horse club bought captain al colt for 3,75bar.
i wonder how many of these horses will be trained and raced here first or will they be raced overseas.
