Brian Burnard has sent out the membership forms for the Independent Owners Association, those owners that want change should make the effort to sign up.

The website really does not say much.

Who are the directors besides Burnard? Who and how were they appointed? What are their vision and mission? As someone who knows very little about KZN racing, it appears that this region looks to be going the same route as the RA. Not good but here is hoping we don't have another racing megalomaniac.

Dear Owners,

Subsequent to the last communication pertaining to the application for membership of the IOA, the Directors have taken the decision to do away with the annual Membership Fee until the first IOA Members meeting ,where a Fee will be established by ballot should we be unsuccessful in sourcing funds elsewhere.

Members whom have already paid said Fees will be refunded.

We urge everyone to respond to the last mail sent to them as a matter of urgency, to enable us to engage the various Racing Institutions going forward.
Without the support of all we have no chance of achieving our goals.

Regards

B Burnard ; M Chetty ; D Marescia

Visit - www.ioassociation.co.za

OTA, I also suggest that you read the MOI.

You weren't at the Owners meeting with GC and you are not an owner in KZN but you fear a megalomaniac.....

I say this for obvious reasons when we look at what has happened elsewhere. The MOI says a lot but what does it really say? To me looks like a cut and paste and could be an example of any sporting code. Seeing that I wasn't at the GC meeting please could you direct me to the notes of said meeting?

Tigershark your response confirms why I fear a repeat of what happens in other jurisdictions. Why the need for cloak and dagger? Tbh I really don't have any interest in what the minutes contain, the actions are what interest me, or in this case the lack of them

Good luck with your new organisation.

OTA, there is no cloak and dagger sorry bud, what you have is what we have. I think what T is trying to say, quite politely, is if you arent even an owner surely you have better things to do with your day than question things that have f...all to do with you.

Neigh I am pretty sure GC hold a similar view with regard to your queries into how they conduct their business. Have a nice day
