You know it's a difficult card when a horse like Nightingale is 6/1 in a plated race. The good thing is, in these open betting races, you just need to find one winner and you set.

I've played the double, not confident choices :-

R2) Union Jack (9/2) X (R4) Carbon Offset (5/1)

How does the saying go, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself", something along those line anyway.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I just have this gut feeling, that the real Lineker will be on show. The only concern I have is second run after gelding. This horse ran 4l off Noah from Goah in the Dingaans carrying 60ks. Its down to a 88 from 101. Its first run after gelding was a decent run over to short and was running on. Im really hoping to see this horse finally start to reach its potential. 5/1 is worth a punt for me.

I have taken 2/1 about Sail. Nothing too big as this is surely a prep run before the Fillies Guineas so caution. However I liked her seasonal debut, running on powerfully and will be fitter here. 2nd run after rest though. Weight advantage for her should give her the edge. There's some smart fillies in the race other than her too. Interesting race.
