Very smart horse but Woodruff horse in the Cape in a Gr 1? Complete write-off for me IMO.

I wouldn't write off a Woodruff horse in a Cape gr1 race. After all he was a Cape trainer before taking over from Tony Millard when Millard went to Hong Kong.Woodruff won many gr1 races in the Cape with horses like Igreja,Resfa,El Picha,Jet master and others.
Having said that i don't think the form of the Dingaans will hold up in the guinneas and i think Table Bay will walk this race giving the Ramsden stable a guineas double(FILLIES and COLTS)

You can include Yard Arm and Emblem of Liberty who both beat odds on favorites when they won Grade 1's in the Cape and he was already in Gauteng by then.

No disrespect meant in any way - just on recent history. It must be a long time since he's won a grade 1 in the Cape?

You are spot on,i don't think the yard has the quality stock of years ago,but his horses seem to do very well in Jhb.
