You can not give horses away at the moment. Horse cost money to feed .

Not sure what you don't understand?

If a mare is barren or produces badly conformed foals what should the breeder do ?
If her offspring have all been poor and it is not financially viable to keep her it's best she is euthanized humanely.

Where do all the horses that are battered and bruised and no longer able to run in Kimberley ? They used to end up at the lion park.

Every decision Mick Goss has to make must be in the best interests of Summerhill. If the farm cannot show a profit then all the other mares might face a similar fate.

I agree though, it is sad.

You mean, they are closing their entire operation?

If true, very sad. A lot of trainers will only do business with Mick. Value for money horses who are bred very tough.

Bob, would be nice, unfortunately not every social rider is Ben Hur. There are just too many horses. :(
