Frodo, it happens after every race leading up to the July. Worst time to back you fancy is just after they have run well, wait for something else to win and it will drift again. I remember Black Arthur coming into something ridiculous like 3/1 after winning the Guineas.

From my time in racing horses in the July never shortened after winning 1 race like they do now , this is a recent trend by the bookmakers to catch the mugs ie the punters

Silver Mountain runs in a Conditions Plate, Kenilworth, Saturday.
Nightingale runs in the Poisettia, Scotsville, Sunday
Anymore?

I see de Kock is saying (in the Champions Day Computaform) that Nother Russia will not be making the trip to KZN - still listed at 18/1 Ante-Post on WSB

Yep that sort of price at most places. One horse people have already lost their tom on.
I have played my first bet on the July. Brazuca has been impressive in his two runs back on the highveld. I am hoping that he doesn't get to close to Legal Eagle on Saturday as he is under heavy sufferance and I hope he does not incur a penalty. Taken the 20/1 EW on him.
