You've all heard of the have's and have not's, well right now I'm the latter, and here's why.

I need to post from work because as I write, I have not got internet connection at home since Tuesday, thanks to Telkom  . I have not brought my studied Cape form-guide with me to work, so I can't even recall the horse's name nor race  . At work I have not got access (blocked by IT) to any site remotely associated with horse racing :( or gambling. I have not found the racing supplement from today's newspaper so I can check, that section has taken a walk .

What I do remember, Fourie is riding and it's a race towards the back end of the meeting, but don't bother offering up horse's name, it will come to me before 16.30.

If you wondering how I remembered and contributed to the Best Bet thread, I have the Turffontein book with me.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Do it Again 3/1. Very well bred and was fancied on debut. Did it very well there and clearly will appreciate the extra distance. I'm absolutely in love with these twice overs. Amazing animals and I hope this fella is an above average one. Well drawn which is key on the winter course and 3/1 is definitely worth a stab. I usually lIke to see the good 3yos take on their elders on the long run in as that is where their true ability shows but 3/1 won't hurt.

Also think Johnny Black in race 2 should be tough to beat.

Watched replays for Race 2 . Johnny Black +sabbatical. Can't argue about selections, but for places watch any money for Saltoro Ridge in that race. Wasn't in the race at debut but caught my eye because ran very green , ducked in sharply at 350 m ant should have finished last at that stage..to my surprise at the finish was midfield and must have made up a bunch of ground off camera. So may improve enough to run a place .

Finally found the racing supplement, Shizam R8 (7/2), surprised it has been priced up as second favourite, thought it would have been a lot bigger, or so I was hoping.

Moore won the opener at Ascot, any other jockey would have thrown in the towel but not Moore. :)

I really planned to invest on seventh rule in this race. My only concern being the 1200, but plenty enough ability in his breeding to suggest he could make it. --- Then I noted a pen of 28 , and that both True Words and Seventh Rule have not been their best over the Soft Going. So I gave up that avenue, and discontinued any further study of the kenilworth card :)
