The book is very clever regarding reducing the cost of a perm of say a Pick 6 but with a commensurate increase in risk. I used to use the formulae frequently but with percentage betting now available the book may have lost its impact. But certainly very clever.

I also felt that at the time syndicates were required to play larger perms but with the introduction of percentage betting it did lose its impact

I loved Betfair for dummies

Hi I'm looking for some help regarding a horse race yesterday at Flamingo Park race 8 It was won by Georgia May I bet it in the UK at 40/1 1 hour before race time and when it won the starting price was 11/2 ........they are refusing to pay me out claiming it was never that price and that it was a communication error. I know that this is not true because I have been told that it opened at 20/1 on course and was bet into 11/2 . Is there anyone who can provide any evidence of the available morning odds of the horses in race 8 I would be very grateful

Did you play it on line or at a bookies and did you take the price? I popped in Hills and asked for a price on a horse in the first race and the teller said that for overseas racing they only give SP? First time that that’s happened to me

i bet the horse in the shop the price was clearly on the screen and confirmed by the shop manager who also translated the bet into the EPOS system to check it was not a mistake , it won by a nose and they are saying that the bet is to be settled at 5/1 not 40/1
i contacted world sports betting who confirmed that at the time they were offering odds of 25/1
