Quite a few 'muddly' races imo ....
R1: Nor'west Arch finding betting support again after having dropped her jock in her debut; would not have to be too good to beat these; I don't know the rider, but according to the stats, he has had two winning rides from 5 tries; Queen Anne and Rolled Silver probably thereabouts again
R2: Galactic Warrior should be too good here, first timer Lord Silverio not finding a lot of betting support, so only dangers appear to be The Tin Man and The Bee Eff Gee, who both have wide draws to overcome
R3: Best Kept Secret looks under-rated a bit, but the handicapper probably knows best; still if fit and well should go close here from the consistent Madam Secretary; Ninjara despite running away from the field in her maiden win, seems to have been given quite a high rating, so all the others have place credentials imo
R4: Very tough handicap and looks like one of those races where there would be a different result 9 times out of 10; Alpine Glacier has the draw and Gavin rides, but still seem a bit high in the ratings; Rightful King since his debut has not been showing much, but has run against stronger; Hot August likes this track and there is not a lot between him and Alpine Glacier on a previous meeting ; one can go on and on ... I'm loading up
R5: I think La Collossa has the best form here and the v Zyl stable has been in great form up here recently; Celtic Lady the main danger, but will have her work cut out from a wide draw; Modjadji makes the trip from Kimberley again, Striker rides from a good draw, so not to be ignored; Esplaratore and Opera next best imo
R6: Sebastian looks a true stayer in the making and is my first choice from Commodore Al; Eastern Pearl tries blinkers and could upset at best
R7: Perfidia another v Zyl inmate who seems to have a lot going for her; main danger imo is Blue Berry Pie, who should hold Perfect Order on a line through Polar Secret; none of the others can safely be ignored though
R8: Hatfield Square is threatening to win again and should be right there; Silver Duchess drawn wide but probably the main danger; Charter Jet is drawn very wide, but has come down steadily in the ratings and could run on into the places
Enjoy

Quick thoughts.
R1 Queen Anne, last chance saloon, Paul Peter 1-2, huge money for first timer.
R2 Galactic warrior but could be vulnerable over the extra, no value, thus no bet.
R3 Tricky, I think diamond noir better then rated, but very competitive race.
R4 Another tricky race, Ronin warrior has decent formlines. Maybe the e/w value.
R5 Raider Modjaji very decent course form and gets Strydom. At 7's e/w value.
R6 Eastern pearl very in out form, but the marathon trip could be what is required.
R7 Paul Peter strong hand, preference for Snowdonia from blueberry pie.
R8 Good luck.
Not a card I'm gonna get too heavily involved with as some very trappy affairs.
Play well.

Obviously wrote my summary before the betting moves in the first; looks like the Peter stable is attempting another 'strike'

Chief Sioux proved to be on the right mark last time out and got no penalty for it. I think today he has a date with destiny.....put n take.
