Cannot have extensive input - but tomorrow first race should be very interesting the obvious form - Queen Anne and rolled silver are well tried:

Keep and eye on NOR’WEST ARCH , strong support on debut, dislodged jockey and finished 50 lengths back :) I would have had a full go on this one - but then FIT FOR FUN comes into picture - might also look well tried but -- is having only second run for the stable - 1st run for stable I usually treat as debut, found some support on debut - but was reportedly not striding, and has had 63 days rest. Quick run through her form is also uninspiring - but take a closer look at that 5.3 length finish to madame excess. -- makes for an interesting race. The trouble with midweek racing is that I am unable to observe the market - to decide if a horse warrants a wager or not, so I usually cannot get involved. Fit For Fun may not be the strongest form, but if this horse was running at greyville or scottsville tomorrow, and it was fit and over it's problems - I would be wagering on it's exit from the maiden ranks ROMA AETERNA also has the profile of one that could exit the maidens. Fit For Fun - could not resist taking some of the 25/1 on offer :)

Everything points to the tin man in race two, but I have a thing about looking for two peak efforts in a row. I am going with Galactic Warrior - backed in to 17/10 from 8/1 oon debut and bumps up against Sir David Baird - shoould be all the better for the run. - of course I would normally llet the market guide on these two, with the eye to value....The Tin Man is pretty close to the profile of a horse that I absolutely wouldn't expect to see in the maidens for too many runs. Of course if The Tin Man is better suited to 1450 then he wouldn't have peaked yet :) and neither Galactic Warrior Knysna Jet has already shown credentials to get out of the maidens at this trip , and to some degree so has Mr Tinsel - although cannot expect vast improvement from this one - Mr Tinsel will run a solid race, I would think Knysna Jet will improve past him - and then it's the double whammy of Mr Tin Man or Galactic Warrior showing some class over the extra trip? Maybe our breeding specialists could weigh in the chances of those two. Should be taking some of the 16/1 on offer about Knysna Jet and 7/1 on offer around Tin Man

Race 1: Queen Anne
Race 2: The Tin Man

the closest one can get to a winning formline will be that of Rolled Silver.Monday showed the superiority of the Noceur form (Salmon Run) to that of Barouche (Palmiet)

You did note Queen Anne finishing close up to missouri, i guess --- but she hasn't gone on from there - dangerous at her best though I would guess. And having a closer look at Until Dawn -- in front of Evelina, and Just behind Serendipity

I am limiting my exposure...There hasnt been any winners from that race and better to stick with the experience of Sam

Although if you do the math with Palmiet to Queen Anne and Salmon Run to Rolled Silver theres a bit in favour of Queen Anne ... but its better to be with the race thats produced winners and if i recall correctly the way RS runs this shorter trip and inside track willsuit better confirmed by her good effort to Sheperds Delight

If we like lord silverio , what about flight school - had a disastrous debut, rested and 2nd bite for a R700,000 individual -

Since his return, Mark Khan has been consistently in the winners enclosure. Today shouldn't be any different. Things should be in PERFECT ORDER. Excellent maiden win, rested decent run back over 1400, cracking second run back - 2nd over 1700 in a very competitive heat. Today with MK up third run back is excellent value @ 9/2. My strike for the day :) With all the controversy around Murray's ride on Sir David Baird.... GALACTIC WARRIOR should be too good in race 2.
