Ran on well there from a very wide draw, in my black book for next time.

Compare the first run of Flamenco Dancer to its run today. Both rides were difficult. The difference is the jockey. Marcus is streets ahead of Delpech. Marcus never stops trying. I cannot say the same about Delpech.

5. WHISKY BARON (AUS) (5)
Held up in last pair, some headway when not much room and unbalanced in dip over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong.
That's from racing post result page, that's the usual ride he gives.
UNBALANCED,being the norm.

Just very competitive fields , that's all - nothing that won today is outrageous or a surprise. In the next race horses Like Great success in with a chance at R26 win, Sherman R26+ Hanui, Slightly scottish --- none of these would count as surprise winners. --- African Pharoah looks to have scope for improvement...but the race is too difficult for my liking.

Well spotted there, nice debut, next time out will be much closer.

With respect to him he always seems as if he's unbalanced and about to fall off a horse.

Great Success and Hokanui wouldn't be a surprise, if they won?
I must be reading my form very, very wrong...
