Same for all the other racing sites, but i am surprised they all choose to ignore .?

It is their call what they consider newsworthy. But, it's that call is what will determine if they are to be respected.

I disagree - there is a reason why dictators control the press- imagine if the mainstream press acted in this manner regarding State Capture or SABC or the banks manipulating the rand or Danie Jordaan etc - there is no way on earth that this story should not at least get a mention - I'm not saying have a trial by Media but I am saying print what you know - Most big media groups barely mention his involvement in Phum and Racing yet the people that know how important he is to the industry are ignoring the fact he resigned yet they cover stories on NHRA appointments and resignations regularly - Phum has nothing to do with Steinhoff so someone must ask the board why he resigned - Maybe a very honorable reason but we don't know because nobody bothered to ask and the mainstream boys have bigger questions they want answers to

An issuer, through its sponsor, must notify the JSE of any change to the board of
directors or company secretary including:
(a) the appointment of a new director (including the director’s capacity in
terms of paragraph 3.84(e)) or company secretary;
(b) the resignation, removal, retirement or death of a director or of the
company secretary; and/or
(c) changes to any important functions or executive responsibilities of a
director;
without delay and no later than by the end of the business day following the
decision or receipt of notice detailing the change. Such changes must be
announced as soon as practically possible and also included in the issuer’s next
publication of listing particulars, interim report or annual financial statements.
Where a director retires and is re-appointed at an annual or other general
meeting, no notification is required as this does not result in a change to the
board of directors.

Mr Finch didn't resign for the same reason, and under the same cloud - totally different case in terms of integrity. Sensitive issue...

ps, I would say let SP and the racing publications be, the general press is making enough work of this. Also consider, perhaps the racing publications have been accused of spreading negative press so many times they're giving mainstream media a chance to shine now and staying out of the spotlight? :( :pinch: - - - - Who is the cancer in racing now?!
