Sporting Post - very poor journalism

If you go onto this site you would think that the van Vuuren and Jooste frauds never occurred. The two biggest racing stories by a long margin over the last few years and not a whisper. They have become an embarrassment, not keen to court anything that they feel will stir controversy.

Guys pretty unfair imo.

All it takes to write something incorrectly and the walls will fall around them

Well a line saying he has resigned from the Phumelela board is surely news and fact? Or will that change if they print it? very poor when you nave to read industry news in mainstream media because publications have some agenda for not publishing facts

Going to retract my statement. Maybe a bit to personal for this site . My apologies. Tired of nice stories. Truth needs to be told and as said . If ever news outlet TV station is showing a R200 billion rand loss and it's not important to spend. Well so be it and may all the people that are going to suffer the consequences of today. I hope you pull through this.

Every news outlet in South Africa from radio to web is running it has their lead story. Surely they can write something as well.

Disagree

There's no need for any sensationalism we do it for them. Jooste resigned from Steinhoff and Phumelela. This the most important owner in SA racing, and no comment.Sometimes I think Dr Jeckyle and Mr Hyde are in charge. Zsuzanna does a hatchet job on a regular basis so why this ostrich mode? Unless of course there are ulterior motives like the threat of lost sponsorships

Not fair to single out just one outlet.

South Africa's most influential player in racing is making massive waves on a global scale and not a word of copy is written on any platform? Poor.

The facts have already been reported on mainstream platforms so there's no need to be scared of reporting something not true. Facts remain. Not a single reaction piece yet. Not one bit of speculation as to the next move regarding the multi-million rand racing operation and empire. Not a good look for any of them.

Racing media could have had a record day when it came to views (remember views and clicks drive numbers and numbers drive ad revenues in media unless sponsored) and chose to keep quiet.

Top results in a Google search of the name.

This story has unfolded rapidly over the last 24 hours. I have no doubt that SP will report the facts.

In this same thread, MJ has ALREADY been found GUILTY of fraud and the hysteria and excitement of the anti MJ brigade now causes them to attack SP too...
At times I do disagree with SP, just like I do with certain posts on ABC. That's just opinion. But to attack SP at this stage, is over the top.

Bob, sometimes less is more ? Maybe some posts should be edited ?

It is my opinion that MJ does not deserve this at this point.
