So anyone not giving this trainer a punt for success going forward should be blocked from the site?

I have nothing negative or positive to say about their stable as this trainer has never been main stream or open to the public. Good or not they need to develop their stable themselves which is quite hard when the business was started as a private trainer. By all means Dave, Bob & LG send horses to Tara and I wish Tara every success going forward but I will not send her a horse and neither will many other owners for their own reasons.

The fall out from MJ for trainers should be dealt with in the same way that the trainers benefitted from the rise of MJ......

I care as much for the trainers who will battle going forward as much as they cared for the trainers who "suffered" or wouldn't cow-tow, moved province or went out of business. I guess none of these trainers were hard working or good?

It will be interesting to see how some trainers perform when not automatically receiving R5 million worth of horses...... A sobering experience for some but a great wake-up call for the industry at large. Those trainers that have ignored the small owners or not continued growing that base will feel the repercussion of that now.

I personally will endeavour to avoid at all costs those trainers and stick to those that have always held the small owners in high regard.

I too am very close to Tigersharks beliefs. The only thing that will sway me is a few people turning states witnesses or if A Trainer (for example) did an in-depth no holds barred interview with lets say Robyn Louw answering the millions of questions we all have. Then i could forgive and forget but it is difficult to know that perhaps they were "in the know" with certain matters and chose to be quiet.

LG - Not really sure how you misinterpreted my post, but ill give you the benefit of the doubt.

There was no dig at Tara nor her team for their ability, but it is 100% going to have an effect that she will not be receiving the money horses. The Jooste saga will undoubtedly have an effect on the trainers that received these horses as for instance lets now say Van Niekerk now gets the horse, he will probably send to Tarry rather than to Ramsden. Again just an example.

The same can be said for Jockeys. Anton might need to now ride a R40,000 purchase against other big owners who are splurging cash and have other stable jockeys. Might not happen as most trainers / owners want Anton to ride, but it could have an effect.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

A lot of the good horses arrived there well handicapped, not a fan of Fairview to be honest but when looking for a bet I'd look for a Cape Town or Laing horse, I agree a bit unfair having a go now, she was given a job to do and she thrived. She obviously loves the game and all the best to her

Richie, Anton is a specialist at looking after himself. He only rides the plums. He has reportedly been contracted by the Howells yard, retained by their big Owner. He rides work at Ashburton a few days a week... this is good for Punters, imho.
