Clyde said that attendance is down but the sponsor were happy and they worked hard at attracting a certain type of attendee .

Vee - turnover down 1 or 2 % on last year

The only reason turnover is down is cause most people take tote bets now with bookies. I know of one bookie taking over a million rand on pick sixes that dont go into the pool. I think people would be shocked to know the real numbers , otherwise turnovers would be way up..

They really ned to stop bookies laying tote type bets.

The exact words " We are very pleased with the day the sponsors we had a chat with them they are chuffed, at what was presemted here today , they (the sponsors ) have been working very hard , half way through the day it all starts well in advance of Met Day , to be here and to see the turn out and the kind of stock that compeated and further records to be announced with the first three year old filly to win in more than 100 years , and to have Usan Bolt here as well it just you know guys will go on and talk about this for months to come, what is important is that it is memorable and you want to come back and be a part of the day again, its about growing with the partnership that we have and making it a greater and better one next year. " They the sponsors have attracted a higher LSM (Whatever that means) market which is interesting , I have not bumped into the masses , that have been here previously - however the market that they targeted they have worked out and they have all come and dressed up and looking really five stars , they are very pleased and so are we "

Lionel I will leave it to you to work out. ....

Thanks Warren. No need to work it out....and one wonders why this industry is dying.
