Surcharge
7 years 3 months ago
The racing gods have blessed us. We purchased a filly which is a half sister to Surcharge for a decent amount. She will run next Friday and in the spirit of sharing and not marking up our purchases along with the eminent launch of our new syndicate we offer 1/8th shares in Surcharges half sister by Master Of My fate.
There are not many shares left. The price is £2800 per 8th share ALL IN for the next 24 months.
There is some small print in the contract as we don't make any money up front but its all there.

Nothing.
Giving credit for a very good pick at the sales.

Bought for 50
each share at todays exchange rate just over 44 x 8 = 352
includes 24 months stable fees, vet fees, other fees?
imho a bit steep.

Assuming her conformation is good, she is easily worth R500k with Surcharge ‘s prospects.

you must be joking that its steep
its cost about 100 including costs to get her to this point.
then add in 240k worse case for 2 years training
then add in insurances
so about 360 / 8 shares about 45 and at todays rate that is £2752
i rounded it up to £2800
what i would do if i was others is
value her at R400 (based on Surcharge) and fleece newbies

Peter she was bought collectively by Michael and Lez they spotted her bought her and now we are all looking forward to an amazing journey.
Yes we could and have turned down money for her already
We want new people in the game and WILL NOT mark her up for sale nor any other horse we buy

Fair enough if you put it that way.
By the way your body language on ATR yesterday when asked about coming back on the show showed that you leaving the UK to go back to SA? Or did i misread it?

not at all, I'm back and forth.....
after the debacle that was
logicfinvalue
and sportofkings
I'm now rebuilding and restarting to bring new people into racing. The difference is that this time its done properly and I'm spending more time there to assist in the back end of things.
Let me be clear BOTH those ventures had merits but both those people micromanaged too much and both failed to spot their weaknesses and focus on strengths.
as an example one cannot have people not receiving invoices for payment....

Well bought Lezanne and Michael !!!
Now, here is a chance to get into a very well related horse, without waiting in the dark for many months, to see if the horse might or might not see a racecourse. And the price covers you well into the future ! And YES, you don't have to spend a percentage of the hyped up 7 figure prices being the norm for any horse which is well related. Peter D is no fool and is well experienced in the Sales game. I would value his estimate.
You already have paddock value before you start !
Well done guys ! ( I am slightly envious, whilst being glad for you)

Great pitch for your mate there Louis, there are 8 shares available so why not purchase one by using your winnings from the Sharks match yesterday, oh sorry I forgot, they lost. Never mind I am sure that the Bulls will welcome you back
