if you look at the card one week later in gauteng the group 2 nursery fillies for 2yos is 400k as opposed to the grade 3 strelitzia for 200k ...the boys equalivent for 2yos sees the 1 million rand sa nursery group2 as opposed to the 200k godolphin barb group 3 ...the group 2 camelia stakes for fillies is the same race and stakes as the group 3 poinsettia and then you have the million rand computaform group one sprint as opposed to the listed in full flight stakes for 150k ...because the seasons overlap these same type races are one week apart and considering the stakes involved and the higher grading its a no brainer where the bulk of the best of gauteng are going to race ...The best of the cape 2yos DO NOT COME TO NATAL i can give you a list of superstars that never raced once as 2yos in natal but i wont bore you or the other readers but i recall deez getting embarrassed by justin snaith after he won a 2yo race last season and he said to justin we should have known you wouldnt bring a 2yo here for no reason only fir justin to answer my best 2yos stay in the cape and i bring 2yos to natal that have natal owners ....2 of the 6 group one races for 2yos in natal have already been downgraded to grade 2s and i expect further downgrades to happen ..Some of these past winners cannot compete in chapter challenge races never mind group one races these days ...lets face it the best dont come to natal anymore none more so than horse of the year for the last how many years legal eagle who has only ever raced once in natal throughout his whole career...
