FBOTs
7 years 3 weeks ago
Just heard some fantastic news. The government have put a maximum £2 a spin on the blood sucking Roulette machines.
They were a max £100 a spin and every 12 seconds.Ive seen poor souls lose their home, family and in some cases their lives. They are called the crack cocaine of gambling for a reason.
That's why you have multiple bookmakers on every high street and our unscrupulous bookmakers don't have to lay a bet to punters who like the geegees and sports betting.
Maybe now instead of preying on the vulnerable they may actually try and earn a living the right way.

In all honesty i have never put a single coin/note in one of those machines and as you rightly say people have lost everything in doing so.

Not only the addicts, but the shop staff are in real danger.
Betting firm Ladbrokes has been accused of putting “profits before lives” after one lone worker was killed and a second was raped.
Dad-of-three Andrew Iocovou was battered to death by a gambler who lost money on its fixed-odds betting terminals a day earlier.
Another young worker was raped and left for dead by a punter who lost hundreds of pounds on the same machines.
An investigation found Ladbrokes saved £200million in wages in five years, partly by forcing staff to work alone.
I'll never feel any sympathy to the high street bookmaker.

These type of machines are also at our Totes, bookmakers, bars etc. I also never ever have played these machines at these venues. There is a limited amount you can win on these machines so you better off at the casino slots. Whats concerning to me that I have seen mothers, grannies playing these machines at totes and bars and not long ago they would not have visited these establishments.

Great news! I believe that FOBTS in the UK is the real reason bookmakers stopped being bookmakers..

Excellent news! Bookmakers might now have to start taking bets in their shops again. If FOBTs belong anywhere, then it's in a licensed casino and not on the High St.

Also a nice case of bookmakers getting a taste of their own medicine. Let's see how they like having their stakes restricted for a change.

this has zero to do with gamblers or bookmakers profits, there is a much better (governments point of view) reason for this legislation and it has fuck all to do with protecting gamblers.
the only reason this has come in is to stop washing money....no other reason.
the game is simple.......
48 on red
48 on black
4 on zero
over and over and over and over again......
collect ticket from till and ask for cheque or transfer or even just a slip to show it comes from a machine then off to the bank to deposit and voila.....clean as a whistle
rates for washing range from 8% to 20% so this is a far cheaper way ....or WAS
