Is that fine??pirates wrote: I totally agree with urbanite and huch ..They employed to call a race not tell the world after the race why every winner was a certainty and best bet of the decade ..Nobody is having a go at them personally just do the job professionally like before tellytrack was around ....the likes of jehan malherbe ernie and peter duffield and graeme hawkins were completely neutral ...wHEN punters have done their money or an owner or trainer has seen their horse getting beaten the last thing they want to hear is how this horse was the best bet of the fcuking decade ...jehan malherbe what he has forgotten about all aspects of racing the rest combined will never learn but he calls the race and then summarises it in slow motion..DO U ever hear him sai i picked that horse for mdk or i made that a bok ...

Sheldon is top class. He brings excitement to a call. Its even more exciting when you back the same horse that he did, you get "special" attention and focus on that horse. Watching AnS, at the 400m mark I yelled "All dressed up and nowhere to go"... Sheldon called it too.
If I did have to crit commentary, it would be the new cape town caller. At the 300m to the finish line, his voice just does not work. I often thought he was going to burst into tears at the 100m mark.
Similar to Idols SA, we should have a commentary wooden mike.

I am going to be blunt here. Yesterday he said the Undercover Agent had wings under his hooves. What the fuck? You cannot get more ridiculous than that
Listen too how he describes Captain America and then Trip to Heaven. Anyone who enjoys that should go back to kindergarden school where they love a ryme

7 years 4 days ago - 7 years 4 days agodefinitly not ..huchergh touched on it these guys are bullet proof they have jobs for life and there is no competiton channel ...Last week i listened to 2 gentleman discuss the durban july log on their show and were discussing horses who had been withdrawn a long time ago..you see their bosses dont know any better so the mediocrity just continues ,,then i must hear how horses carrying 52kg are handily weighted meanwhile some of them are so under sufferance they could start a half an hour earlier and still not win ..most dont do any preparation but why should they as they cant get firedGarland Greene wrote:Tellytrack presenters often pass those same comments after a race.
