Grooms started marching at 02h30 this morning at Summerveld. They have barricaded entrance. Situation appears volatile.

Surely the Durban grooms were giving the same deal as the Randji guys after what happened there?

Len I believe so.. pity it will kill a good revenue for Government taxes unless they get involved.. no owner/trainer can support this.

Its not some breakdown of negotiation or talks regarding wages/conditions. It activism pure and simple, with the people behind the scenes looking for a literal payoff or at least political support rather than trying to improve the plight of grooms. It wont stop with the July.

I agree but many people who have no financial investment in the game have been calling for outside involvement at other levels and this is where we are now...
