Let's say the appeal is upheld, objection reversed and MS declared the winner "again", how would it help those who did have a bet on MS and probably lost their bet as matters stand?

Is that because of the Irish Objection policy? Any idea how the other bookies are viewing it - if someone on here had a bet on MS at another bookie, what's their take - thanks?

What a load of bollocks, to have a horse finish 16th, lay an objection.

A true injustice there.....i hope they win their appeal for the stakes involved.....pity the punters though.

How much is 1st stake ?

Very brave decision by the stipes. I'm sure they realised the controversy that this decision (terrible imo) will raise.

Gents

you have become comfortably numb by watching this kind of thing happen everyday in SA

the USA has a zero tolerance for interference and a horses placing is not relevant to the decision if interference occurred or not.

France also pretty much have these rules, whereby you can interfere with an unplaced horse and be booted out.

on the face of it this might seem like an unfair decision but for the integrity of the controlling body a black and white approach is the only one.

I've seen a lot more interference at the lesser meetings we get fed here in SA ,such as Gulf Stream Park etc, with no objection or race review, perhaps they view their premier races in a different light.
