FRANKEL - 1 hit wonder Sire????

I clearly remember when Frankel went to stud and his first crop if foals were running riot when they made their debuts...everyone was backed like it was a result known and thet came hime smoking....fast forward to our current time..its been a while since a Frankel foal has set the UK alight....is he on a sabbatical????? Or are the fees too much toafford

Every top trainer has a Frankel 2 year old in training. I read somewhere that Sir Michael Stoute has about 10 of those at Freemason Lodge Stables. Willy Haggas has about 5. John Gosden obviously has a few. Richard Fahey, Michael Bell, Roger Varian and even upcoming young trainers like Richard Spencer. The season has just started and I can't remember any Frankel-sired 2 year olds out early. And rightly so, their sire only made his debut at Newmarket, right?
Hard to say Frankel is a 1 hit wonder sire, in fact far from it. His stud fee went up from 125k to 175 in 2017, owing to zealous interest. His 2019 programme has a number of blue-chip broodmares lined up already, including Concentric, the dam of Enable (that Nathaniel, 2 time NArc winner).
I think he is by far Banstead Manor Stud's most famous resident with every respect to the likes of Kingsman (who has made more than a ripple in the pond with his start), Expert Eye on his debut sire season who has good support too, the elder Oasis dream and Bated Breath.

What is his actual stats? He’s been sent the best mares on the planet so can’t fail imo.

If he’s not going that great it would be worrying

Frankel was the leading sire at 2018's Royal Ascot meeting. The assessment by leading bloodstock experts was that he had outdone any other sire with the rate he was producing black type performers. The stats show that he has a 12% group winners to runners, which is incredibly above any other sire in the Northern Hemisphere.
You would put Frankel, statistically behind his dad, Galileo, who is on a level of his own (stud fee undisclosed!) He is certainly sparring with other leading sires like Dubawi & you would compare him favorably on a global scale with such sires like Tapit in the US and Japanese champion sire Deep Impact.
He already sired a classic winner in Soul Stirring, that filly who did him proud in the Japanese oaks. Rostropovich was runner up in the Irish Derby. Cracksman, his retired brilliant son is his most successfull progeny to date, you would have to say.

He has done incredibly well stats wise, and pretty sure Juddmonte are happy with returns. Expect his name to crop up again at Epsom, I see his filly Mehdaayih is up there on ante-post betting, after flooring Manuela de Vega at Chester, although she is yet to be supplemented.
Haggas has said unbeaten Frankellina will take her place in the Musidora stakes at York on Wednesday. She is also a potential player.

.....so far a quick extrapolation of what I read here.....it is the female progeny that seem to be doing a lot better.....:huh:
