Not sure why the change in plans for Soqrat - might be something to do with the delay in getting horses to Cape Town - sure it's the stable's prerogative to change their plans, but rather just don't say anything if there is any doubt

With S in the field, many will be under sufferance; I have for some time been in the camp of Divine Odyssey, and I still think he can't miss the first four at these weights; Roy Had Enough also a danger off 52 kgs

.....and my big bomb gets a berth too FLYING WINGER......and although seemingly under sufferance at 52kg got within 2.75l of the top weight when they last met over 1600m at the same 8kg pull.....imo this horse is a late bloomer and is coming to hand by posting a flying finish in the Charity Mile in sticky going....his genetics seem to be poised to go a bit further.... as he is related to a once crowned national stayer....and would it not be sentimental that a once owned Chris Gerber odd bod ....gives his mate and long time trainer Alec Laird another Summer Cup in his honor.....:( :cheer:

IMO, Maestro de Kock has a stranglehold, Soqrat and Barahin even though giving weight, should fight it out; 3rd lies between Cascapedia, Divine Odyssey and Roy Had Enough and I think the rest can start now

Gav without a ride - thought he might get the nod on Barahin .... Striker also not finding favor, unless he puts up some overweight on one of the Tarry runners

Do I understand, or do I misunderstand, that Soqrat is NOT running?
