Returned after a 5month layoff in last start...and finished in 4th place over the sprint (stayed on)

If capable of placing after a 23week layoff..will strip much fitter today and back over lovable distance!!

So Striker after winning hard up against the rails on Pop Icon , gets interviewed and proceeds to tell the public that Cirillo is not a 100% ready . Fair enough , didn’t have to be ,( rated 129 ) to win . All the money comes for the stablemate and we all saw what happened . Cirillo was drawn on the outside , mysteriously the most experienced jockey , had no interest in sticking to the rail . Obviously there had to be something wrong with Cirillo but then why did Striker show the whip when the race was over - the horse was never in the race . Those who backed Cirillo , simply did their money in cold . There is no doubting Striker’s ability , the man has ridden more winners than any South African jockey ever will . I certainly have an opinion and will never be shy to express it . And yes , in this instance I am talking from an empty pocket ...
