Snaith / Fourie Cape Racing
5 years 5 months ago
What is happening? When last did this combination won a race at Kenilworth?
Snaith and Fourie is top of the boards most races but not producing winners, somebody is making money and its not the punters!.
They should win at least 1 in 5 races every meeting and I will not be surprised that the percentage is closer to 1 in 35 the past month or so...
Could somebody perhaps look into this as I haven't got the Cape/Kenilworth results and info.

All stables go through low troughs!
Plus their season peaks the next 6 weeks
They will be 100% over that period

Like Bob says, the stable is currently going through a low, but once you start to see them hitting boards again, that's when you can have more confidence. I'm sure they will have winners on Queens Plate day

The stable is probably getting the runners ready for Queen Plate and Met day.
They come out with numbers on these days and have done this in past years.

The thing is that every horse has a different preparation and surely not all his horses, and he has plenty, are going for the big days racing. With the amount of horses he has he should still be winning more than most trainers in the Cape.Maybe a virus of some sort or horse have just had their injections.

This is the biggest stable in the RSA and what would be interesting is
1 number of runners so far this season
2 how many different horses did they race

You can add his bad form to PE as well it seems.
Maybe speaking too soon as he has two more runners who have chances but as the commentator was saying,Themadirishsheriff was swerving.Horrible run that.

Snaith will be back... they may be having a low but I know them well and they will be working harder than anyone in the world to turn things and it will turn soon and you can fire. Having worked around the world and seen a lot, Snaith are great horseman! Get the kitty ready for when they warm up!!!!

Richard Fourie and Justin Snaith should add to their impressive 19.56% win-strike rate at Kenilworth on Saturday.
JANUARY 3, 2020
The Vow lines up in Race 4, a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1600m at should add to the tally of that successful combination.
This will be the three-year-old daughter of Oratorio’s fourth run so she can only get better.
She has finished third in her last two performances, both over 1400m at this venue and was far from disgraced when beaten 2.75 lengths by a decent sort in Springisintheair last time.
The Vow ran ahead of A Moment Apart on that occasion and should have no trouble confirming superiority.
She is the joint best-weighted runner alongside her main danger, O Sole Mio.
The good news is that The Vow shoulders 1kg less than that rival and jumps from No 1 draw as opposed to O Sole Mio’s No 10 barrier position in this 10-horse field.
Since finishing fourth at the first time of asking, Vaughan Marshall-trained Speed Of Night has been threatening to leave the maiden ranks – following up his penultimate second with a noteworthy third.
If jockey MJ Byleveld can get this Judpot colt to make improvement on that last effort, he will show rivals a clean pair of heels in Race 2, a Maiden Plate over 1200m.
His case is further strengthened by the fact his main danger – Lead Singer – always finds someone to beat him and is returning from a 74-day stint off the racecourse.
On this evidence, Lead Singer is most likely going to suffer from ring-rust.
You won’t get filthy rich but consider floating Lead Singer and Speed Of Night with the field in a Quartet and put all those winnings on Perfect Air in Race 6.
Considering this Dynasty five-year-old was returning from a break, she ran an absolute cracker when only beaten 4.05 lengths by the highly rated Miyabi Gold recently.
She won over this 2000m distance in her penultimate offering and is beautifully drawn at No 1 so should be hard to peg back.
The only concern is the fact she shoulders top-weight of 61.5kg.
