Marshall 20/1
Saragon 20/1
Double hearts 20/1

I am going EW on all of them and a sneaky place treble! What a card!

R2) Bassam (28/10), best bet on the card for me. Has everything going for it, the two market rivals, Golden Tune and Ideal Wolff are draw somewhat wide. Should appreciate the extra and if breaking on terms from draw 1, should be the one they all have to beat.

Bassam, by four or more:).

Let It Shine - The SA Classic Race Day 2020

6 March 2020

Despite a wet start to the week, the weatherman predicts a pleasant, sunny weekend at Turffontein. And it’s not just the sun that is set to shine. With the second leg of the SA Triple Crown and Wilgerbosdrift SA Triple Tiara headlining the program on Saturday, some of South Africa’s finest 3-year-old horses are set to provide a sizzling display of equine action.

The SA Classic Race Day is always a highly anticipated event with the second leg of the Triple Crown (The SA Classic) and the Triple Tiara (the Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic) – both Grade 1 races – being run.

Ikigai and Summer Pudding, winners of the first leg of the Triple Crown and Triple Tiara respectively, will no doubt go all out to keep their hopes of a series-victory alive. Winning the Triple Crown bonus is a rare feat achieved by only a handful of legends in the history of the series.

With free entry for racegoers on SA Classics Day, or Family Fun Day as it’s affectionately known, a fun-filled day for the whole family is yet again guaranteed.

Bring the little ones to experience the thrill of live horseracing as some of South Africa’s best up-and-coming racehorses thunder past the finish line vying for glory. Greet the jockeys and trainers as they make their way around the parade ring and witness the elation live as the victorious connections make their way into the Winners’ enclosure.

The Racing It’s a Rush lounge will be open, providing guests with the ultimate racing experience, including racecourse tours and live entertainment. The Furious Room and Deck are hosting a Sushi & Champagne themed lunch, perfect for celebrating a special occasion or just to enjoy a delicious Saturday lunch.

The dress code for the hospitality venues is strictly smart casual, no slops or shorts permitted. To book, or for more information, please contact 011 681 1508;

The pick 6 is always worth catching, my early thoughts

Leg1
War room 1 a banker or add 3 slalom queen to be sure.
Leg 2
1-2-9-10 to fight it out.
Leg 3
Take a chance with barahin or bigger punters add 3/4/5/7
Leg 4
Banker 1 summer pudding
I will also take 3 mill queen and all the best to connections.
Leg 5
Banker Ikigai 2
Last leg
Take the field, you could leave out 6/7 at your peril

Good punting

Probably being paranoid - Be very very careful of summer pudding...she was drawn 4 and then 1 in both features...now suddenly drawn 11...other runners like Marygold ,Virtuosa and Magic School now better drawn..Marygold is priced crazy at 14-1- Her dam also did well in this race

Also make Marygold a runner, agree the price is big.
