Saturday, Cape Fillies Guineas, 12/12

Race (1)
Perfect Princess is very beatable, especially if there is a good pace on in the race. Duplicity will have to overcome a fairly wide draw. Zeta Jones, collateral form doesn’t appear strong.Glitter In The Air is the one I expect to mow them down and may start shorter at race time.
Race (2)
On ratings, Mississippi Burning, is the one to beat. Bumped into a fitter Clouds Unfold last time out, over a distance which must be short of her best. Best bet on the card, probably start shorter in the market.
Race (3)
Russet Air having it’s peak run and ideally course and distance suited, marginal choice.
Race (4)
Two horse race, going to row in with the local lassie, Run Fox Run. Obvious danger is Celtic Sea, but, going against her as she may need the run, and conceding 1.0kg to my fancy – certainly massive winning chance, but I’ll take a stand.
Race (5)
Crome Yellow can go in again under the race conditions.
Race (6)
Rainbow Bridge under the race conditions. Biggest reason to be beaten, lack of racing fitness, and loads of respect for jockey Ferraris, but the trainer appears confused as to who will be riding this horse later in the season.
Race (7)
Huge fan of Princess Calla, going to stick with her from a decent draw.
Race (
Happy Aristocat can only improve on the debut run and should appreciate to extra.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

With the appie allowance of 2.5kgs, Veronica Mars is not getting any weight advantage in terms of their relative merit ratings. However she is no getting the wfa allowance of an extra 6.0kgs, so i'd say she is not well weighted here. Can Veronica Mars win?, yes, we saw something similar just the other day at one of the Cape meetings where the winner was actually under sufferance and still won, to rub salt in the wound.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Thanks for write up Bayern.
I like the Mario Ferreira double 👍👍
Plus this is a pick 6 that we can eventually catch (brave words).

Lets consider pick 6 again
Surely the possible outcome is
1 plus a few
1-2 Only
A few
1-2-3-9 only
1-2 only
2-10 plus a few
Have I missed anything?
Good Punting

Absolute pearler of a day here in Aapstad ... mild temperatures, so far only a gentle breeze... will be mild south easter later I reckon. Perfect conditions.
