New parade ring at Turffies stuffed up before it starts ?

I heard the RA got stopped at the airport on their way to UK to comment on a race.

Guess you will have to wait until the RA come back from the UK.

I know nothing - however I do have a good imagination so here goes - lol!

Lights will go up along the straight only - prob not until next June-Aug in the hope for televised Night racing next Oct.

There will be an 'all-weather track' - although NOT 'Poly' as it's too expensive and deemed not SA weather friendly enough.

If the 'all weather' track happens first - it will go in Feb - June 2009 so it's bedded in for Aug 1st season start. And there will be mainly sand races until Nov 1st.

Only one project will happen at once with approx a year between them.

Jim I hear they gonna put in a polytrack on the inside track at Scottsville..so KZN has nite racing, 3 tracks and a polytrack..no wonder the big boys moving down there.
