Good win by Walk With Me. Will be interesting to see how he goes when tried over further. A bit of a headache for the handicapper as the two highly rated horses ran well below best in 4th and 5th.

One runner at Durbanville on Saturday. *Golden Angel (bred in partnership with Chrigor Stud) runs in race 2. Would have preferred her first run to be down the straight, but she gets a reasonable draw. She is a very nice filly, but hard to assess how she will go first time. She did gallop at Durbanville a few weeks ago, and the stable is in fair form despite the rain affected work. Of the raced runners, Mai Sensation and Kamchatka decent debut runs and Expedition South has fair form, and all three should be in the shakeup. Hoping that our girl is not too green and puts in a decent run.

Very good debut run by Golden Angel. She was badly bumped at the jump, so had to come from last. Ran on best of all into 3rd beaten less than 2 lengths. Would have gone very close if not for the interference. Is a filly to follow.

One runner at Fairview on Monday. Elusive Hunter in race 4. She is moderate, but has been running fairly consistently her last few. This is a small, weak field and at the weights she won’t find many easier opportunities. Has an ew chance.

Elusive Hunter faded out- seems better the sprint distances despite being bred for further.

One runner at Vaal on Tuesday. Hokaai My Meisie in race 2. needs to improve quite a bit to feature here.

One runner at Durbanville on Tuesday. Call to Unite (bred in partnership with Drakenstein) in race 4. Has found form after the rest and should go close here.

Good win by Call To Unite

Two runners at Greyville on Wednesday.
Horse Pharoah in race 2. Needs to learn to settle, and this field looks too strong for him on what he has shown so far. Always Shining looks the one to beat. Danger is National Award if overcoming the draw, and The Octagon.
Dawn Surprise in race 5. Tries the poly, and on best form has a shout if taking to the surface. Quite an open race. Magical View is the logical favourite.

Horse Pharoah midfield.
Dawn Surprise looked green on the surface but ran on well late not beaten too far. Should improve next time on poly with this experience under the belt.

Three runners at Fairview on Friday.
*Hiersdieding in race 3. Was a late November foal and still a big baby. Looking for some improvement as he starts to strengthen up and will be better when he is able to go over a longer trip. Coral Creek should win, the main dangers Oliver Twist and Kohana.
Beau Kala in race 5. has been very consistent but has a very wide draw to overcome. If she had drawn well would have been the one to beat but will now need luck in an open race.
Treasure Hunt in race 8. Up in class and against the boys, and was raised 5points for her win in weaker company. Has an ew chance at the weights from a decent draw. Innamorare is the one to beat, but some other tough nuts as well.

Hiersdieding still green and outpaced and will come on from this.
Beau Kala super win from that draw- exceptional ride by Sandile.
Treasure Hunt disappointing, but has previously struggled when gap between races is short.
Nice double for Elusive Fort (Ellis island and Beau Kala). Has covered his first couple of mares of the season this week, and looking good.
We have had 2 foals so far this season on the farm

Two runners at Durbanville on Saturday.
*Golden Ideal debut in race 1. Worst draw, and she will need this outing. Hoping to see her settle and run on.
Flying Bomb in race 3. Has been very disappointing so far, but hopefully will show improvement on the better going.

Golden Ideal missed the break so this was just a training gallop. Will come on a lot from this run.
Flying Bomb a bit better but still needs to improve.

Two runners at Durbanville on Tuesday. Both in race 4.
*Golden Angel very good debut, and she should relish the extra ground. Expecting improvement and must have a decent winning chance.
Double Dash promising debut but did not build on that in the soft going at her second start. She should improve on the better going and could sneak into the quartets.
They bump two very smart fillies. Tuscan Romance has run two good seconds behind top fillies, and is the one to beat. Champagne Kisses has improved with every start and has earned a rating of 87. A cracking race and hoping the Angel can fly home.

Smart win by Golden Angel. We are very excited about this filly’s potential. Also happy that she is out of an Elusive Fort mare, and with his female line I believe he will be a successful broodmare sire.
Double Dash ran a cracker beaten just a length in 3rd, and also has a bright future. Both these fillies will probably improve over more ground.

One runner at Fairview on Friday. Elusive Hunter in race 1. Back in handicap maiden company she must have a decent ew chance in a moderate field where anything can happen.
