I'd love to see those cops in a taxi rank.

Wherever your loyalties lie, spare a thought for the Trainer who's assistant was involved in another physical altercation on a racecourse.

What is this trainer to do with an employee that brings the businesses name into disrepute regularly?

How much damage can the trainers name and business sustain? Does the business keep an assistant trainer on their books should the assistant get a criminal record from an incident when they were representing the stable?

apparently he has been found guilty of crimen injuria and fined. so my question is having already been found guilty and fined in court can the nhra then punish him again ? surely a criminal conviction is way more serious than anything nhra can impose and he cant be punished twice for the same offence ?

A private body can institute disciplinary proceedings against a "member" independently of the criminal sanctions...eg. SAICA and MJ...irrespective of what happens on the criminal side of the matter...or any Law Society and its members even if there has already been criminal sanction...

Imagine having to live with this 60 year old child, he is great example for his grandchildren, but not to worry, he will still get more chances and characters like Bob and others will continue to support him.

It amazes me how many people on this thread try to find a reason why the cops are wrong for not being somewhere else and catching criminals or charging groups at Nkandla!! Craig Eudy has already said there were only a handfull of cops on course which is not unusual. Everyone is trying to paint this another color. FFS he was not supposed to be where he was. He didn't have his mask on. He could have done what he was told and walked away. Nothing further would have happened. But no..he let out a string of profanities and then assaults a police officer. He is wrong. He deserves to be charged. He deserves whatever punishment the NHA give him. He needs to grow up period. Why does he believe he is special and different. I too believe he is a great character but his actions continuously let him and his family down. I also know what he has been through and how he fought to come back and that in itself is great. But this continuous violent behavior leaves a lot to be desired. Just my opinion of course

It's hectic out there on the roads yesterday and today. Protests, road closures, burning trucks the order of the day in KZN.
Did anyone see the footage of the dozens of police vehicles and personnel that were lining the streets in Empangeni, Northern KZN, all to capture one man only.:(

I don't disagree with you...AF was still in the wrong though...that is not saying that the id10ts that engage in criminal acts should get a pass...as with most governments, they always target easy targets rather than the relatively more serious offences...have a slightly smooth tyre and you get a fine...steal millions through fraud and corruption and still get to live the high life while your sycophants and supporters do your bidding in defence of you...:(
