sorry to say but this is just another example of what is wrong with South African racing.
u have three owners that could of they wanted too get seriously pissed off by this situation.
Ziets created a lot of positive vibe around this in the last week and the authorities just cause confusion.

Suzette Viljoen is Champion , We done it !!!!! The dream team , the Viljoen Machine, every trainer , every groom and every jockey who made a contribution!!!!! Nobody more deserving . Well done on WINNING CHAMPION OWNER in EASTERN CAPE and NATIONALLY!!!
Suzette en Basie you are more than special .
We endured the highest highs , the lowest of lows , we screamed together, we cried together , we had long planning sessions, plenty kakpraat (lol) , plenty advice , late nights on the phone , brilliant times , angry times , sad times , disappointing times and pleasantly surprise times but nothing beats that feeling when the horses run beautiful races when you/me/we lost hope ....We are more than trainer/owner . We are family as you said. Enjoy the ultimate price. Im super proud of you!!!

Suzette Viljoen won stakes of R5 390 550 last season, from Gaynor Rupertâs Drakenstein Stud on R5 343 375. Chris van Niekerk was third on R5 199 900.
If we include restricted stakes races then Chris van Niekerk is leading the pack on R5 572 900, ahead of Suzette Viljoen on R5 444 800, with Gaynor Rupert in third on R5 413 875.
That's what you call a photo finish đ

I like how the NHRA retweeted the above image, but then say the restricted races are included.

Well done CVN
Van Niekerk toasts Viljoenâs Equus ownersâ win as âgreat story for racingâ
Drakenstein Stud runner-up with sportâs best-known owner third in award that excludes restricted races
In a fine show of sportsmanship, Chris van Niekerk has heralded Suzette Viljoenâs achievement in being leading owner for the 2020/2021 season as âa great story for racingâ.
âI am so happy for Suzette to have won. It is a great story for racing. What is good for racing is good for all of us who are part of it. We all win,â said Van Niekerk, arguably the best-known owner in the sport.
