Kenilworth, 15/12

R2, Al About Al, with a 1.50kg swing at the weights with Spring Awakening on their last run, should be able to reverse the placings, with an excuse free run.

R4, Zippy Over, holding form and should appreciate the extra furlong.

R7, After The Rain, not many horses go from being a maiden winner to winning a MR 92 in it's very next start. Racing fit, worth following.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Clanners need advice. I want to have a good place bet on Good Traveller but concerned about the odds difference between HB and WSB.Could this horse not be ready on Saturday...

Well there is not a bigger race for him to run in! IMO this is why it pays to shop around and take your best price, two bookies with different views on the race

To be fair it's not often that HW beat WSB on prices and if Peter D says it's the value at 7/1
I would say Good Traveller at 12/1 ew is a must

Good Punting 👍

The first handicap is in race 2, where I will be standing down. The field is just too small and I can't say anything excites me. An interesting runner is Gainsford. It took a nice dip in rating on the 5th of October and obliged with a stronger run. How much of that was natural improvement is a bit difficult to read, but it was a stronger bunch than today. It then flopped in its last but that could all be smoke and mirrors (same MR but 5 kilos up over 1400). One wonders if a B-class race at 59 kilos over shorter might be what he is looking for after a further drop in rating. I do however understand the other selections fellas are making and there are few that look sneaky. Too much uncertainty for me.

Gainsford will never ever see a cent of mine again, probably lost the most on this horse combined ever. Every run it looks like a good bet, and always flatters to deceive.

Therefore, gainsford should win today.

On to race 6 we go and boy it doesn't get any easier. The Cheyne horse Matthew The King, certainly is looking for this race at the MR 74 and Greg seems to be the jock hand selected to race this horse. Voldemort is a scary prospect with Marcus on and seems progressive with 71 days on the treadmill since its last race (could it be legitimate rest?). Might take an outright place bet on MTK when the odds are up. Queen's Wood will be a guessing game, Double Charge might have shot its load but certainly on the radar. Star Master should be fresh.
