I will stick to the maiden races today, looks easier than the rest.
I’m sure everyone is tired of moaning, but if today turns out to be a horrific day with extreme turnarounds then I have promised myself that I won’t spend one cent until the new year. I’m exhausted from the daily batterings.

In Race 7 I think the Bookies are pretty close with their assessments, but there are one or two higher priced horses with improving form from October that have been spending time in the gym and could upset the apple cart. I cannot put my finger on a winner here although the favourite sure is something special. When will the handicapper catch up? The draws just add to the confusion here. Marginals have great draws and visa versa. Then those stepping down from the 1600 have an advantage, but 1400 horses well drawn. This being 1400 over Kenilworth draw could be a factor. I could spend more time on this race but not getting that warm fuzzy feeling...good luck fellas. (1, 2, 3, 4) with Adios Amigos probably the least excuses.

Overcast and cool, maybe a few drops of rain later, but course should be fast with a moderate headwind.
Race 1 First Timers could be anything. Of the raced runners Trivial Matter from King of Colts and Donder Storm.
race 2 Very open
Race 3 Tricky maiden as a few older fillies that have been knocking on the door and some up and coming 3 yos. I'll go with Miss Greenlight to get it right today
race 4 Zippy Over looks the one to beat, but a few others with chances- 5,6,7,4
Race 5 Douglas is my pick here from Sunday Island, Jem Rock and Double Duet

race 6 Competitive. Paris Rix and Voldemort are decent 3 yos. Queen's Wood could be anything. Double Charge is very consistent. We have Gentleman running. This is much stronger than he has been running against, but gets a light weight and a nice draw. Hopefully he can step up and show us something today.
Race 7 After the Rain has good KZN form and presumably is not in CT for a holiday. Could give Bernard a winner at last. Very competitive race.
Race 8 Not an easy one to finish off the day, and again some hard knocking older horses against some up and coming 3yos. Let It Burn and Winchester Mansion are unexposed and could have the most scope for improvement.

Needs to loose that extra weight.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
