Very disappointing run from Desert but the going maybe and the lights, don't know but I still think she is better than this effort

This horse had to travel to sea level and back up to the highveld, should have never been that short.

Emphatic win by Safe Passage - I can't understand why it drifted like that - on track for the Triple Crown, but I think the stable mate Aragosta will be a lively challenger as they go further; sad to see Supreme Warrior tailed off, they were obviously expecting a lot better - now we still don't know how good he is

Thanks again for the replays Bob.
Pyromaniac came from stone last. The next 2 legs should be interesting.
Disappointed for DM. I hope her career does not fizzle out.

3 years 3 months agoI thought weighted to win was finished as it hasn’t been on for a while. In any case their selections hardly ever come in. Prefer listening to James Goodman

Re: Turffontein Tuesday night , 08 February
3 years 3 months agoAs mentioned it does seem strange that a meeting has been scheduled later in the day - why not run at the same time as Fairview - however seemingly no big threat for thunder storms - let's hold thumbs.
I have taken the following (somewhat optimistic multiple) :
R1: Magic Tattoo (place) - rather take the same price to place, as the two hotties are the same odds to win
R3: Eagle River (win) - not far behind Supreme Warrior (who lines up in the Guineas) and for me should be hard to beat if all goes well
R7: Safe Passage (win) - taking a bit of chance, but he has the form and is still on the up imo - could be a Triple Crown contender
R10: Chimichuri Run (place) - probably now looking for this trip (ran a great race , only 2,4 lengths behind Rainbow Bridge in the Gold Challenge over 1600 last year) - obviously also taking a bit of chance here, as the light weights, especially Goodtime Guy looks well in, while there is no reason for MK to not run his usual game race
For the rest, I do expect Mind Reader to go close, Master Archie I think could be troubled by Sweet Future, while Desert Miracle and Shangani shape up as possible bankers in the P6
Enjoy![]()
Sometimes I can kick myself - at least took the Yankee
