Maybe Desert miracle isn't as good as it is meant out to be Rain in Holland was sole grade one winner in race and has performed well in many features reason Richard even said in his interview horse hit a flat spot and he thought Race was gone but good horses don't throw in the towel and this is a solid good horse rem its win in Greyville it was gone 200 m out and came back and won this was the first solid test for DM and it failed

Gav must have deviated from the game plan. If so, then what was that game plan?

Imo there was not too much wrong with the ride - she had a tricky draw, but a slowish pace meant she got handy without too much trouble, and Gav must have thought 'last time at Kenilworth I came just too late - this time I won't make the same mistake' - but the filly for some reason petered out the last 100m - can't really say she doesn't stay, as she finished like a train over the trip in the Cape - that being said the Turffontein 1600 is tougher than the Kenilworth 1600, plus the going made it even tougher and most races on the night the winner came from off the pace - still to me at her best she would have won no matter where she was placed - so maybe something not 100% with her - will be interesting to see where she goes next

Damned if you, damned if you don't B)

Punters bemoan the the lack of transparency in the industry. MdK gave his honest view of what went wrong with DM. Instead of taking the easy way out, and blaming the weather, delays, draw etc, he stated what he feels are the facts of the matter, which I appreciate. Similar to Ragnick at United. He says it as it is.

Whether or not one believes/agrees/blah blah him is up to the individual.

Questioning MdK's ability as a trainer and as a judge of horses? ROTFLMAO!!

MDK will consider a different rider now for sure, out of contract or not.
It has cost punters dearly the last two races the filly has lost.

The ride in the cape was also bang average . Hit the
Front early , shifted all the way to the outside . How far out did he hit the front on Kommetieding?

S'manga. Was not a fan of his when he rode for Tarry, but boy is he flying at the moment.

Tough crowd and a lot of ARM here for a change. Well done to Kaotic for picking out Rain in Holland, I could not have that on what was in front of me form-wise. Having been in this game for close to 50 years I will say that this is not the biggest shock I have ever experienced and I will no doubt have strong opinions about horses that I feel are unbeatable and that I will share here , and some of those will then get beat. Is this not the whole aim of sharing views on a forum, or do your views need to come with guarantees? Let those with no guilt among you cast the first stone.

For the record I had DM as the last leg of a few multiples and bankered in my exotics. I will also say that I thought it very poor form of de Kock to blame Lerena - DM was clearly not 100% on the night and poor worksmen quotes come to mind. We live to fight another day.
