No wait Frodo, I see my mistake...The opportunity was all for Johnny Hero on the 1st of Jan. It was drawn positively compared to its competition from the previous race ( 3 from 10). Same MR. It does not spell progress necessarily as it held all the cards and still failed...You have to be very stingy with your money in this game. My bad and a silly mistake taking chances like that. This race spells "Leave". Its that Saturday laziness kicking in you see.

There is always Wolverhampton and Lingfield to get out of it Frodo. Some very nice runners there today.

Would rather watch United - or maybe not

Yes have to say...The UK is looking good. Had two solid paying winners this week. Nice to be back there too. The only difference is there is a shorter turn around on UK Races. In SA there might be two months between "form run" and "winning run". In the UK it is usually 3 weeks or basta...then they have refreshers. Its just a matter of reading dates differently. Hong has its own idiosyncrasies but just as readable as UK and SA with the same track, surface and distance biases. Best of all is the massive amount you learn by punting HK, UK and SA around the clock. Thank God I can't find good US form and SA bookies don't offer places - or I would not sleep...ever!

Example this week... Did not make much money on it but JOSHUA R at Newcastle two nights ago @2/1 a place. it is a prime example of the UK refresher.

Gavin on True to life kept looking at runners on the stand side of the track with 2/300 meters to go instead on concentrating on his mount. You just have to wonder..

Hoping Cleaver Greene Fails miserably in the next... Can Rozara do it again against the boys or will Kennedy be too strong?
