Eric Sands, was the original trainer of Jungle Warrior winning the Cape Derby, Mainstay 1800 and Champion Stakes. It got transferred to Terrance Millard due to leg problems after turning five.

St John won the South African Fillies Guineas with Finest View in the 1990s at Scottsville when in was a Grade 1.

He also had a horse and future sire, Announce, in the 1990s. Annonuce great granddam was Natalma. Natalma is famous for being the broodmare of legendary stallion Northern Dancer.

Guys what about a top horse called Flaming Rock, made lots of money when he won the July. Cant remember who trained this horse, use to come flying with a late run and either won or just failed.

Chris Snaith trained Flaming Rock and Karl Neisius rode him. Top class. A good story to how he got this horse as well, before Millard saw him.

......Announce was only a 4 time winner and only won 1 listed race in KZN....Thukela Handicap....but turned out to be a more than decent sire....Announce was also closely related to Danehill as his dam You're My Lady was a half sister to Danhill's dam Razyana......;)
