Re: Kenilworth Sat 28th January - WSB MET DAY
2 years 6 months agoRace (3)
Who Do You Love (55.5kg), (9/2 time of writing). Convinced this is the right one in the race. If this horse settles, she wins this race. Three runs back, from a fairly wide draw, taken around them and nothing to come in the closing stages. Two runs back, second run after the rest from an even wider draw, raced three wide around the turn, and again nothing to come in the closing stages. Most recent run in the Cape Fillies Guineas Grade 1, nothing went right. Rough passage down the back straight, then found traffic all the way up the lane. Not saying she would have won the race, but definitely would have finished much closer. Hoping stable companion, Going Up (60.0kg – Domeyer), is in the race to ensure a decent pace from the draw, Who Do You Love, can hopefully get a tow through. The jockey booking is very significant, De Melo (52.5kg) takes the ride. No disrespect to Wright (52.0kg), who can make the weight and who has ridden her before, Domeyer (58.0kg) can’t make the weight, the riding arrangements speak volumes.
Can you believe it....
The exact opposite of what was expected.

Nice hearing the banter between the jocks. De Melo the only fatty amongst the jocks, according to Sean Veale. Good fun, since De Melo is clearly fit AF.
