Champions Day 🏆 6th of April

Good morning all.
We have arrived back in Pretoria after a wonderful trip to see the kids in KZN.

We are looking forward to another trip to Joburg for Champions Day on Saturday.
The Pick 6 is a carry over and we have a link to the World Tote Pool.

Richard Fourie continues his quest to beat Anothony Delpech's  amazing record and he is well on track, see the site for the latest update.

The Hollywood punters competition has been extremely exciting recently as many players are having the chance to win big on this FREE competition and I would suggest the "bet option " is worth a click for this Saturday.

I have been looking at the race card since the final fields were announced and I'm still struggling to find a spook 👻
Maybe the weather or NHRA could be the damper?
The wheels might come off but hopefully it's similar to Classic Day, I have a few ATCs in place to facilitate a profit after the 6th to cover the JWB.

First race : I will have a punt on either Azzie or the Peter stable but have a good SA Vibe 😉

Race two: Almond Sea should win again and my only niggle was seeing her distressed after the last win.

Race three: Pistol Pete also looks PTP 👌

Race four : I can't see Sandringham Summit get beat today and this looks like the right race.

Race five: Silver Sanctuary also looks hard to beat.

Race six: Gimme A Nother looks a superstar.

At this stage it's probably make or break for the punters vs bookies.

Race seven: we might have to start thinking 🤔
Dyce vs Thunderstruck should be a good contest but Golden Sickle  and William Robertson are worth including.

Race eight: this could also be a result to ensure you get more than your stake back on the carry over pick 6.
Purple Pitcher, Marauding Hoard, Pure Predator and Hotarubi needed for smaller perms.

Race nine :
My fancies in a very competitive race are the outsiders Zeus and Safe Passage but the "field" is recommended.

Race ten: if you are in trouble
Nebraas is a decent sort and will give you a good run.

Exotics

PA
7×7×1×6×1,3×1,6×1,2,4,11= R16

Bipot
2×7×7×1×6×1,2,3,12 = R4

Pick 6 carry over
7×1×6×1,2,3,12×1,2,3,6×field =R224

R244 and probably allocate same for HW competition for foresomes etc.😉

Good Punting 👍

Who will be the Champions 🏆
Liverpool(12/10) Man City (2/1)or Arsenal (3/1) a few twists and turns on the card.

all liverpool have to do is win all their games. wankers are united seems the toughest but having already put the reds out of the cup surely they cant cost us the league as well. that would just be too much

Does look like the bookies for once may be on the receiving end - however rain is forecast so it might throw a spanner in most works - thoughts ....

R1: Talk is that VIbe SA is the right one and is drawn toward the stand side - not sure how the recent rains will effect the going though - so it might pay to watch the first for an indication; filly So Seductive does get a 2,5 kg advantage here, so not impossible that she could be challenging at the finish

R2: Almond Sea hard to oppose, but I think the Cape form is very strong so I think Pretty Ballerina could upstage the hottie

R3: Hard to imagine Pistol Pete getting rolled - only a downpour before the race could mean a train smash

R4: Imo a bit more open - Sandringham Summit the one to beat, but It think the 1400 could be a touch sharp and could be running on when the race is over; Lucky Lad seems to have been aimed at this race and from a better draw (and a tongue-tie) has an obvious chance; White Pearl has pole position, but she has not won since June last year - has the class but has had a few chances to get her head in front, so may just be lacking the necessary fighting spirit, while At My Command is not out of it despite a deepish draw; Texas Red does seem outclassed at these weights, but in his penultimate gave Mid WInter WInd 7.5 kgs and gave him a fright so might be the dark horse

R5: I think the betting is skewed here; SIlver Sanctuary too short in the market imo seeing that she has not gone over this trip; I do prefer Francis Ethel who at least has won over 2000 and gave the impression that the extra 400m won't be an issue; Let's Go Now is out of a staying dam and has less than a length to find on the odds-on favorite so also not without a chance imo; My Soul Mate has cheek pieces fitted and ran Silver Sanctuary close in the Fillies Guineas before disappointing in the Fillies Classic

R6: Gimme A Nother hard to beat - rest are running for 2nd - unless it gets muddy and then anything is possible

R7: To me looks a 2-horse contest given that Golden SIckle is drawn down the inside; Dyce beat Thunderstruck in the Cape and could do so again

R8: Interesting contest; Marauding Horde should stay the extra 400m, but may not be in the class of Purple Pitcher, who is out of a staying family (so I prefer that one to Pure Predator); Twenty Drachmas is distance suited but like Marauding Horde may lack the class; I do think that Hotarubi may find this too far, but Mondial, Presley and George Handel should get the trip, while not sure why Viva Brazil is trading at 40s and I'm throwing that one in

R9: Another interesting race; if Puerto Manzano still have the zest for racing, he needs to be considered at the weights; Royal Victory seems to have been prepared perfectly while Winchester Mansion may just need it - those would be my top 3 from Dave the King and Cousin Casey

R10: Stayers event to close and the ones carrying only 50kgs imo like Red Maple, Breeze Over (may not like soft going) and Rule Book (effective this trip) may fight it out

Enjoy

Race 4
White Pearl has been most unlucky. She really deserves a good stakes win. I think this is her best trip and she is drawn well. I like where she is weighted. I think she is a huge runner. This filly is really, really well and she is over her best trip

From MDK website. I took this as his most bullish comment.

If Pistol Pete gets beat I will need to sell organs on the black market to pay the bookie.
