Does look like the bookies for once may be on the receiving end - however rain is forecast so it might throw a spanner in most works - thoughts ....

R1: Talk is that VIbe SA is the right one and is drawn toward the stand side - not sure how the recent rains will effect the going though - so it might pay to watch the first for an indication; filly So Seductive does get a 2,5 kg advantage here, so not impossible that she could be challenging at the finish

R2: Almond Sea hard to oppose, but I think the Cape form is very strong so I think Pretty Ballerina could upstage the hottie

R3: Hard to imagine Pistol Pete getting rolled - only a downpour before the race could mean a train smash

R4: Imo a bit more open - Sandringham Summit the one to beat, but It think the 1400 could be a touch sharp and could be running on when the race is over; Lucky Lad seems to have been aimed at this race and from a better draw (and a tongue-tie) has an obvious chance; White Pearl has pole position, but she has not won since June last year - has the class but has had a few chances to get her head in front, so may just be lacking the necessary fighting spirit, while At My Command is not out of it despite a deepish draw; Texas Red does seem outclassed at these weights, but in his penultimate gave Mid WInter WInd 7.5 kgs and gave him a fright so might be the dark horse

R5: I think the betting is skewed here; SIlver Sanctuary too short in the market imo seeing that she has not gone over this trip; I do prefer Francis Ethel who at least has won over 2000 and gave the impression that the extra 400m won't be an issue; Let's Go Now is out of a staying dam and has less than a length to find on the odds-on favorite so also not without a chance imo; My Soul Mate has cheek pieces fitted and ran Silver Sanctuary close in the Fillies Guineas before disappointing in the Fillies Classic

R6: Gimme A Nother hard to beat - rest are running for 2nd - unless it gets muddy and then anything is possible

R7: To me looks a 2-horse contest given that Golden SIckle is drawn down the inside; Dyce beat Thunderstruck in the Cape and could do so again

R8: Interesting contest; Marauding Horde should stay the extra 400m, but may not be in the class of Purple Pitcher, who is out of a staying family (so I prefer that one to Pure Predator); Twenty Drachmas is distance suited but like Marauding Horde may lack the class; I do think that Hotarubi may find this too far, but Mondial, Presley and George Handel should get the trip, while not sure why Viva Brazil is trading at 40s and I'm throwing that one in

R9: Another interesting race; if Puerto Manzano still have the zest for racing, he needs to be considered at the weights; Royal Victory seems to have been prepared perfectly while Winchester Mansion may just need it - those would be my top 3 from Dave the King and Cousin Casey

R10: Stayers event to close and the ones carrying only 50kgs imo like Red Maple, Breeze Over (may not like soft going) and Rule Book (effective this trip) may fight it out

Enjoy
Brilliant so far
Well done
