Is the RA aware of the electioneering methods Peter Naidoo is utilising?
16 years 7 months ago
Peter Naidoo, current member of the RA board is going to extraordinary lengths to ensure that he is re-elected. The controversal Naidoo, under an alleged non-payment cloud, is strutting around with pre-filled ballots, attempting to coerce RA members to endorse his voting preferences. What is interesting is that Naidoo has ticked in his name, and the name of Michael de Broglio as his choices.
When Naidoo was confronted about his choice of de Broglio, he stated that the third member up for election, Robin Bruss, was on his way to Australia shortly and thus would add little value in the short term.
Naidoo has been seen electioneering in the private boxes at Turffontein utilising this methodology. He has furthermore had the gall to go on the electioneering trail utilising the same method at the wedding of a prominent Gauteng trainer recently. Talk about chutzpah.
Does the RA accept this? Expect no response and a denial. I have at least 6 different RA members who can clarify the allegation.

Must say that Peter's efforts are child's play if you consider the last unfair fiasco, I could write a book, in fact, I think I did on this Forum, good luck to them all, incidentally, I changed mine to Robin Bruss, hope he is going nowhere?

Thank you to Barry Irwin for drawing my attention to this posting.
I would like to confirm that I am NOT emigrating to Australia, nor have any plan
to emigrate anywhere else.

Well I suggest we vote for Robin Bruss, as he is at least prepared to post on the site, which is more than I can say for the other candidates.
We have had our differences, but has forgotten more about the ethos of racing than others will ever know.
Check the ARC post and the quality of his presentation on Tellytrack.

Is there a proposed definition of what "bringing the association into disrepute" means. It could be argued that several current of former directors may have already done this, depending on your point of view. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and this is dangerous ground to be stepping on, where the only people who win are lawyers.
Would this encompass being delinquent for not paying for a badge you didn't order and then being put on the defaulters list as a member not in good standing.
Would writing this constitute bringing the association into disrepute. If so then I would not want to be a member anyway.
The terms of board members, on the contrary, should be reduced to make them more accountable to the members.
