If the sentence is 12 weeks, then reading the above 6 weeks plus 6 weeks suspended for 12 months sounds about what he'll get IF found guilty?

Unless they give him less time (3wks + 3wks suspended plus a Big [R100k?]) in rerturn for a fine?!?

Another point worth mentioning is the suspensions that are dished out by weeks and not meetings....a week for a Jockey who rides only at one center would represent 1,2 or maybe 3 meetings as opposed to a jock that travels who could miss 6 nor 7 meetings in that week...there is no justice in this either..

Nice one Jet - Did you back the winner? I had the stable companion bankered in the pick 6

This is how i see it, was the horse stopping ? Yes Did he put his hands down? Yes for at least 2 strides! Could or should the horse in question have won? i cant answer ? Mark can help me out here 2 strides at full pace is 6 to 8 m? Putting ones hands down would reduce its gate to 5 or 6 m am i not correct mark? What is the 400 to finish of both horses? I think the winner won by 0.10?

Marcus had a dying horse under him. At the 200m Marcus took a glance behind and saw A Einstein directly behind him and a few lengths off. He probably took it for granted that he had the race won and decided to give the horse a break with a few strides to go, not realising that A.Einstein had swithced out for a massive run on his outside to pip him on the post. In my opinion if Marcus had kept riding Gold on Gold out he would have denied A. Einstein of picking up the winning check. This decision should be left to the stipes.

Was anyone listening carefully to Smelly Crack before the start of the Lebelo Sprint. Nico, obviously thinking he was off air, was under the kosh."Comedy of errors" he called it. Marcus was alledgedly listening to his commentary which was why he allegedly took it easy the last few strides. I notice that the NHA website is right up to date with their postings of Stipes Reports. December 16 the last.
There is not doubt that the right horse won. Herholdt made a right pigs ear on Albert and was lucky to get away with it.
