Who cares what Andrew says..he has called many names on TV..especially Mark..
he ensures laughter...havoc..lightens up the day..
we "vloek" them too...
tomorrow they are the heroes again...only when he rides the horse I backed..
I want to use them as firepoles/lightning in night racing, like ceasor nero did.. but who will ride the horses...catch 22..
C&C, I am in good health...lost from 150kg to 118kg with the diet I suggested to Fortune..
Use to wrestle..should join the veterans now..turning 50 next year..
might even consider taking a job in dubai...they pay $28,000pm tax free, accom, transport to our white faces with IBM IT skills...
in RSA...nedbank pays the most now..about R800ph on a 6 month contract..then they still want tax...and the worst part...single ply toilet paper..
there are short term contracts available for R1600ph.. but a few hours a week..
best we punt....till they upgrade the toilet paper..
had to let my private box at turfontein go..same problem..single ply toilet paper....

I am in the same frame of mind..
however,,had 2 offers from dubai last week..
1 from turkey
1 from the UK this morning..
even in the USA..IBM mainframe skills cics/cobol/db2 in demand..
seems the cycle is repeating itself again..during the late 80's..same ressession..same demand for IBM mainframe skills...same during 1998...same ression...same skill demands...strange but true..
only last for 2 -3 years...ride the wave..
google cobol... and see the results...also google.... cics cobol

yes i recall and it is rather strange. Problem with the UK is that you will pay 50% tax from next year and on top of that you have NI to pay so if you earn 100k a year you will get out 42k not worth it if you are a big earner.

True,
I retired in 2004 due to the taxes they then wanted..
contract neg with a bank at R1260ph.
had to invoice via a BEE prefered supplier...no longer direct..
so i went to see the BEE prefered supplier...
the BEE prefered supplier wanted R400 ph from the R1260
they also wanted to take tax..R529.60 (make it R530) of the R1260
hence the
taxman>>>>>>>>R530 ph
BEE supplier>>R400 ph
ME............R330 ph....but the client wanted R1260 ph worth of work..
guess...then all of us must rather go hungry...
I must work in SOuth Africa to feed who...
Then in 2004 did a 180 day/6 month (tax free) contract via UK in belguim..
could only work 180 days..then we had to be out the country..
could not bring the money back in legally...so we retired..
now PUNT...PUNT...
If SARS wants money...best they PUNT..or P6..or blackmail the jockeys..
