It's nice to know that one can go away for two weeks and come home to find that everything is still the same! I never saw this but I imagine the sponsors got shafted yet again?

Magic when I was young was going to Italy, went for a haircut and the barber said he had been last year and said its crap, food horrible, females ugly and you will have no chance of seeing the Pope.
It made me very sad as I had paid a few quid, however off I went.
When I got off the plane, the first person I met was the barber, he asked how did you get on?
I said it was magic, great food and lovely females, he looked shocked and says "bet you never seen the Pope"
I said, seen him, he was a close to me as you are now!
What happened? the barber asked.
I said I was at the Vatican with thousands of people, he came from the rostrum, the crowd opened up and he stood as close to me as you are now.
The barber asked "what did he say" and I replied
Where the F**k did you get that haircut!

Lol, Dave. I like the food, some of the women are stunning and I could in all honesty not give a continental about the pope....let us say no more!

Barry, I think I read in the press over there that you bought a nice horse in Italy? Or did my mediocre grasp of the language mislead me?

Agree with Sylvester, wanted to see the horses go down to the start for the Emerald Cup, instead had to watch a recorded interview with Piere Strydom, only to see the last horse going down to the start. Surely the canter past is more important to the people off course.

Never see the canters to the start in the UK, every time there is a break in the schedule there is an ad break.
I know you think our coverage over here of the big racedays are brilliant, but the normal run of the mill meetings are nothing like that, and the service you get from tellytrack is far better..

Hibernia,
I agree with you that overseas racing coverage is littered with ad breaks. In fact all sporting events in the UK and most definately here in the US has more ad breaks than actual coverage.......
The point is though......These channels are mainstream channels like BBC or Sky sports or ESPN. I don't mind them having ad breaks, otherwise they would not be main stream.
Tellytrack is a "cable channel" that is dedicated to the sport of horseracing. If you dedicate a channel to a sport then you better figure out how to make that sport your first priority....Split screen the overseas races and the local canter past. Make sure you give preference to the local stuff as this is your market.
I feel that Tellytrack are now being used as a betting tool by Phumelela. Show all the overseas races so people will bet on races where we have low overheads and higher revenues!!!
This is NEVER going to change unless someone out there decides to open up a competition channel to tellyrack and does a better job!! (That can't be too hard right????)
